The World's Fastest Indian

The World's Fastest Indian is the story of speed record breaking motorcyclist Burt Munro. Anthony Hopkins was well cast for the role of Munro and his New Zealand accent was reasonably convincing, which is often regarded as a difficult accent to impersonate. Munro's tenacity to ride on the Bonneville Salt Flats for Speed Week in Utah was inspiring as just getting his Indian Motorcycle from New Zealand to America was a massive effort. His improvisation of his Indian appeared crude to safety inspectors, yet his ingenuity made it a record breaker! The film contains many enjoyable and humorous scenes and it is pleasing Munro's achievements are well documented in this movie.
