Los Angeles Dodgers: Dinkum Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers have remained a steady recruiter of Australian baseball players dating back to the early 1980's. Dodger blue and Australian true-blue baseballers have a noteworthy history. To date four Australians have played Major League Baseball with the Dodgers. The first was Craig Shipley in 1986, followed by Jeff Williams, Luke Prokopec, and Trent Oeltjen. Currently the Dodgers are equal second with the San Diego Padres and Milwaukee Brewers for total number of Australians to play MLB with a single team.
