Derek Jeter: New York Yankees

Derek Jeter (pictured above) continues to prove that he is the most outstanding New York Yankee since Mickey Mantle. Now in his 17th year of Major League Baseball Jeter is fast approaching hit number 3,000. Barring injury he should achieve this milestone well before the conclusion of the 2011 season. Jeter's career is brimmed with glory and the attainment of five Baseball World Series victories, and counting, is the resume of a certain Hall of Famer and Yankees Legend. But his achievements extend beyond the field of play, and Jeter is noted for his generous contribution to the community and gentlemanly disposition. We are all very lucky to have seen and continue to see his brilliance, and there is no doubt that Jeter will be a Yankee for the life of his career.
